Role Summary
The Chief Financial Officer will lead the overall financial strategy, governance, and performance management of a global, publicly listed renewable energy platform. The role partners closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive strategic growth, capital efficiency, investor confidence, and operational excellence across multiple geographies. The CFO will oversee all aspects of finance including planning, reporting, controls, funding, compliance, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Leadership
- Define and drive the company’s financial strategy aligned with global growth and value creation objectives
- Act as a key advisor to the CEO and Board on financial, strategic, and risk matters
- Support strategic initiatives including expansion, investments, partnerships, and capital allocation
- Lead finance transformation, systems, and process improvements across global operations
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long term financial planning across projects and business units
- Drive robust financial modeling and scenario analysis for investments and portfolio performance
- Establish KPI frameworks and performance dashboards for executive decision making
Reporting, Controls & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance across jurisdictions
- Oversee statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and listed company obligations
Treasury, Funding & Banking
- Lead treasury strategy including cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and capital structure optimization
- Manage relationships with banks, lenders, rating agencies, and financial institutions
- Oversee project financing, corporate financing, and refinancing activities
- Monitor financial risks including FX, interest rate, and counterparty exposure
Investor & Stakeholder Management
- Support investor relations activities including disclosures, presentations, and earnings communication
- Engage with shareholders, analysts, and regulators as required
- Build credibility with external stakeholders through transparent and high quality reporting
Qualifications & Experience
- 12 to 18 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in renewables, energy, infrastructure, or other capital intensive sectors
- Prior experience as CFO, Deputy CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance in a listed or large global organization preferred
- Senior Partners or Directors from leading consulting or Big 4 firms with deep exposure to energy or infrastructure sectors and experience leading large audit engagements will also be considered
